The new Apple iPhone 5SE seems to be inching closer to launch, with the latest leaks coming of an unboxed model of it.

Everyone is eagerly waiting for Apple’s March launch with new round of rumors each day.

Apple is planning to unleash the iPhone 5SE, where SE stands for ‘special edition’. The handset will reportedly look similar to the iPhone 5S. Apple wants the iPhone 5SE to be small and affordable,.

Sadly, in 2015 Apple priced the new iPhones exorbitantly, which saw their sales figures dip. So the company quickly ran back to their drawing board and decided to make an affordable iPhone.

Apple iPhone 5SE

Apple might have a different name for the new model than the rumours suggest, but the iPhone 5SE (as

we’ll call it for now) will feature a similar design to that of the iPhone 5S. The phone will also feature a 4-inch display and Apple’s A9 processor. The new iPhone will also come in Rose Gold colour which was first seen on iPhone 6s and 6s

The phone will now support Apple Live photos. There is no confirmation whether 3D touch will be included on the new iPhone 5SE.

All the reports and rumours suggest that we can expect these 5 things in the 5SE:

The 5SE will be Apple’s first 4inch iPhone since the iPhone 5C. According to rumours, the device will borrow its looks from iPhone 5, so we should expect chamfered edges and a more angular design than the rounded iPhone 6.
• It is likely to feature Apple’s A9 processor with M9 motion co-processor for always on ‘Hey Siri’ and fitness tracking.
• It is expected to have an upgraded 12-megapixel camera sensor and the ability to take Live Photos is expected, as per a report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
• MacRumors suggest that the iPhone SE will come with a slightly larger 1,642mAh battery.
• It will have an NFC chip for Apple Pay and touch ID with a Rose Gold colour option.

The Apple iPhone 5se, or iPhone SE as recent rumours suggested, has been leaked in unboxed photos. The new leak shows the compact 4-inch device with 2.5D curved glass on top, and the name ‘iPhone 5se’ on the box. A recent leak had stated that Apple may be dropping the ‘5’ from the name of the new iPhone, calling it only ‘iPhone SE’, or Special Edition. This photo, however, shows it to be iPhone 5se, or iPhone 5s Enhanced.

The photo also confirms that the power button shall be placed to the right side of the phone, as against its placement on the top as on the iPhone 5s. Concept renders of the phone leaked a few days ago had confirmed the same. Apart from these, the iPhone 5se is expected to be powered by Apple’s latest generation A9 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and a 1650mAh battery pack. It is expected to feature a 12MP iSight camera and support for Live Photos. However, it will possibly not include 3D Touch capabilities.

Apple is expected to host an event on March 22, where it is expected to launch a smaller version of the iPad Pro, and iPad Air 3 and upgrades to the Apple Watch, alongside this iPhone.
